DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the launch of Sapp’s Elite Run Club and are kicking things off with a New Year’s Fun Run Event\, a fun\, non-competitive run (not a race) on Saturday\, Jan 3rd\, 2026 from 7:30 – 9:30am! \nThis free event will take place at the Mid Florida Event Center\, located in the future downtown PSL entertainment hub called Walton and One. \nAll levels of fitness are welcome\, from 6:00 mile runners to walkers. A convenient 4-mile loop has been mapped out\, starting and ending at the fountain in the Mid Florida Event Center common area\, with water available at the start/finish and the halfway point. \nCox Chiropractic\, UR Massage Place\, and Style and Slay (Braid and Loc Specialist) will be joining us onsite\, offering complimentary services! After the run\, stick around for a potluck-style breakfast—if you intend on bringing a dish\, please message us to let us know what you’ll be bringing.

The trail is mostly flat dirt with some sand\, and roots within the Pine Wood Forest section of the park. The trail starts as double-track with some single-track trails with 2 bridge crossings. The course can be wet in some sections depending on rainfall. We can never say for sure what the Owl will bring on race day but the course can be 100% bone dry or you might have to bring your snorkels.
